Since 1992, Vontz Paving has grown from a small Hastings asphalt operation into one of Nebraska’s leading paving contractors.
From a Small Asphalt Plant
to Projects Across Nebraska
Brad Vontz founded Vontz Paving Inc. in 1992 after growing up working in the asphalt paving industry. He purchased a small asphalt plant with plans to pave driveways, residential roads and parking lots, and for the next twelve years, that was exactly what the company did.
The next chapter began when Brad’s oldest son, Sean, joined the business full time in 2002. Jay followed in 2010. Together, Brad, Sean and Jay began growing Vontz Paving by adding talented, hardworking employees and investing in newer, more efficient equipment.
That combination of experienced people, better machinery and a willingness to keep improving has shaped the company ever since.

Today, Vontz Paving takes on projects ranging from city streets to Interstate expressways. While Hastings remains home, project locations extend from western Nebraska into the central part of the state, with most work taking place within approximately 100 miles of Hastings.
Vontz continues to invest in modern equipment, technology and strong, well-rounded employees with the goal of staying at the forefront of Nebraska’s asphalt paving industry.
